IT Help Desk Level 1

Overview

Hammond Lumber Company is seeking a Help Desk Support Specialist to provide technical support and user assistance to Windows Desktop users.  This is an entry level position.  No experience or advanced knowledge is required.  This individual will work alongside and receive support and guidance from our team of seasoned IT veterans to answer support request emails and telephone calls.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Answer technical support calls and emails from users in the field.
  • Provide assistance for password resets and other low level technical issues.
  • Log trouble tickets in our ticket tracking system.
  • Escalate to Tier II support as needed.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation (respond to business emergency requests one weekend per month.)

Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:

  • Understanding of Windows Operating Systems: Windows 8, Windows 10, etc.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory.
