For the sixth consecutive year, Hammond recognized as one of the best places of employment
BELGRADE, Maine – Hammond Lumber Company (Hammond) has been named one of the 2026 Best Places to Work in Maine, marking the sixth consecutive year the company has received the recognition.
The Best Places to Work in Maine program is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Maine.
The 2026 Best Places to Work in Maine list is made up of 134 companies in three size categories: 42 small employer companies (15-49 U.S. employees), 67 medium employer companies (50-249 U.S. employees), and 25 large employer companies (250+ U.S. employees). Hammond is one of the 25 winners in the large employer category with over 1,200 employees across Maine and New Hampshire.
Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings. A listing of winners is below.
The final rankings will be announced at the October 13 awards celebration. Hammond Lumber Company and the other 2026 winners will be honored October 13 at an 80s-themed celebration at the Augusta Civic Center in Augusta, ME.
