Celebrating Our Team: The First Annual Hammond Honors

This year’s Employee Holiday Party was extra special as we proudly introduced a brand-new recognition program — the Hammond Honors — created to celebrate the incredible people who make Hammond Lumber Company what it is today.

The Hammond Honors shine a spotlight on employees across all branches who demonstrate outstanding dedication, teamwork, and spirit. Through companywide nominations and voting, this new program gives every team member a chance to recognize their peers for going above and beyond.

The Six Hammond Honors Categories

  • Extra Mile Award – For the employee who consistently goes above and beyond expectations, taking initiative to make a difference.

  • Team Spirit Award – For the teammate who lifts others up and represents the true spirit of teamwork and community at Hammond.

  • Rookie of the Year Award – For a newer employee who’s made a strong impression through hard work, enthusiasm, and a commitment to growth.

  • Decades of Dedication Award – For the long-term team members whose loyalty and consistency have helped build Hammond’s success.

  • Branch Manager of the Year Award – For the exceptional leader who drives results, fosters teamwork, and upholds Hammond’s core values.

  • Employee of the Year Award – For one outstanding team member at each branch who embodies Hammond’s values and makes a lasting impact.
