This holiday season, Hammond Lumber Company was honored to once again participate in Wreaths Across America, a national program dedicated to remembering and honoring the men and women who have served our country.
As part of this meaningful effort, our team assisted with the pickup and delivery of wreaths to veteran cemeteries here in Maine, helping ensure that our fallen heroes are recognized and remembered during the holiday season.
Supporting Maine’s Veteran Cemeteries
This year, Hammond Lumber Company delivered a total of 5,352 remembrance wreaths to veteran cemeteries across central Maine, supporting wreath-laying ceremonies and local volunteers who make this tradition possible.
Deliveries were made to the following locations:
Our drivers and team members worked alongside local organizers to ensure wreaths arrived safely and on time, supporting volunteers who would later place them at the final resting places of Maine veterans.
Company-Wide Support and Fundraising Effort
In addition to transportation and logistics support, Hammond Lumber Company also participated in a company-wide fundraiser, with employees from across our 34 locations coming together to help sponsor over 250 wreaths as part of this year’s Wreaths Across America program.
This collective effort reflects the shared commitment of our team to honoring veterans and supporting causes that hold deep meaning within the communities we serve.

While the act of delivering wreaths may seem simple, the meaning behind it is powerful. Each wreath represents gratitude, remembrance, and a promise that the sacrifices made by our veterans will never be forgotten.
